Adoption Fee: $250
Yorkie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Parker is an adorable little yorkie who is 3 years old and weighs 8.3 lbs. Parker is being fostered in North Port, FL. UPDATED BIO 02/17/2020: Hi Everyone - it's me - Parker. I'm just checking in to let ya'll know how I am doing. I moved to another foster home recently and I really love my new foster mom and dad. I had a visit with the doggie doctor this week to have some x-rays taken to see if there was anything that could be done to help me walk better. The good news is that my hips are perfectly fine. The not-so-good news is that it looks like I have a problem with my spine, either caused by an injury or it may be something I was born with. Not too much is known about my past, but when I came into UYR, they were told that I was paralyzed in my pelvic limbs (rear legs) at birth and was unable to walk. The nice doggie doctor prescribed some meds that will help me with some pain I may be having and that will also let the doctor know a bit more about my condition if these meds help me with my mobility. He told my foster mom that the only way to really know what is going on is to see a doggie neurologist. He said that would be a whole lotta money, so stay tuned about this. Foster mommy has been taking me on walks - I sure do love being outside a lot! Foster mommy says I'm a little lover; I'm not sure what means. I just want to hug, kiss and be your best friend. I love being with my humans and I think I may be a Velcro dog. So that's what is going on with me and I'm here waiting for my forever home. Love, Parker PLEASE NOTE: Please don't turn away from this precious little boy due to his disability. He is a happy and content little nugget who will bring so much love to his forever family. If you have a special place in your heart and home for a little adorable wheelchair baby like Parker, please consider adopting him. Due to his disability, Parker does need at least one stay-at-home parent to take him out regularly and attend to his needs.
