About Mya

My name is Mya, and although I have had many adjustments in my life, I am a very sweet and happy girl! Believed to be a Border Collie/Lab mix, I am about one year old, and right under 40 pounds. I am very timid and unsure at first, but if you will just be patient with me, I long to be a companion to someone. My foster mom says I am perfect companion material! I love kids of all ages and I am also great with other dogs. I have a playful side when I am comfortable around you and I also enjoy taking walks. I am crate trained and sleep very well at night. My foster mom is still amazed at how quiet I am - I have never barked! As part of her $250 adoption fee, Mya is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, as well as her monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. Mya is heart worm positive, and is scheduled for treatment, with costs being covered by Paws for Life NC. She can be adopted before or during her treatment, provided that the adopter agrees to adhere to the follow up care, which is an overnight stay at our local vet, and a month of rest.
