About Tate

Extremely urgent!! 2 year old sweet boy needs a foster or adopter to leave the shelter alive. 'HEARTWORM SUCKS!! Especially because it can be prevented so easily. Unfortunately, our little Tater Tot is urgent due to testing HW+. If there was a poster boy for a dog who was likely forced to spend much of his time outside, Tate would be included. This guy came in severely underweight with an awful coat and badly fly-bitten ears. I wonder if he's ever had a bath or given a bed to sleep on. The way to Tate's heart is definitely via food. Unsurprisingly, this guy is starving and we are working on taking treats softer but we can't blame him. He is such a happy, smaller (35 pounds or so) dog, who loves affection. A total cuddle bug, whose little booty never stops wagging. He is loving life. Tate has no issues with handling, when you can get him to sit still. He will be better in a home with older kids for now, until he is no longer famished and less jumping. We adore this pint-sized boy and can't wait to see him fill out. Intake note: very thin, overall poor body condition, fly biten ears' written by volunteer. Fostering is free of charge and everything is provided. Volunteers are willing to help with transport.
