About Baby Sierra

German Shepherd / Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Sierra is a seriously gorgeous girl, what with her friendly face and beautiful eyes - one brown and one blue (also called a glass eye). We are nearly certain she is a German Shepherd due to her coloring and Australian Shepherd due to her size and her blue eye, but definitely a shepherd due to her wonderfully brilliant mind and personality. This little girl of only 40 pounds is about six months old right now and won't get too much bigger. She will follow her human to the ends of the earth and back, especially if she believes she is performing amazing work alongside them. She gets along great with other dogs BUT she can be a pest due to her teenage antics right now. She thinks cats are great and little dogs too but they may not appreciate her playfulness right away. Give them time and let her get swatted a few times and she'll learn her place. Kids? She believes they are littermates and great fun. Anyone who gets to meet this girl will realize just how special she is. If you believe she's the dog you've been looking for then read on or go directly to the adoption process page of our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
