Urgent!!! SOS! Save Marlow!! Marlow A210453 | Neutered | 1 year 11 months 'Updated notes: 1/4 - Marlo is a GREAT dog. He's got energy for sure, but can self entertain with the best of 'em. He nails his 'sit' on command every time and takes treats nicely in exchance. He likes to tug and fetch and loves the h*ck out of a stuffy toy. He could play all day, it seems! Marlo has good manners and isn't jumpy - someone put some work into this dog, and it shows! Marlow is a nice boy. He was eager to leave his cage and new he was ready to go outside. Marlow appears potty trained and pulls slightly ahead on leash. He's an active, fun dog, a little shy with too much handling, but loves to play fetch! Marlow will chase the ball and gave no issues with me taking the ball from him or would trade. He knows how to 'sit' on command and takes treats gently, too. He appears to be pretty treat motivated and eager to learn. I had no issues handling Marlow all over and he went back to his cage easily.' Written by volunteer. Another volunteer writes the following. ' DDO notes 12/30/2019: Marlo is about two years old and an active boy. His ideal family will be one that either enjoys walking, running, or hiking and/or has a yard for him to run around in. Marlo was very interested in the lake and definitely would've went for a swim if I would've let him. %BD%BD%90%BE He was a little squeaky himself in the car at first, but as we spent more time with him I think it was a little anxiety. Imagine having two strangers taking you out of the one place you're familiar with. Marlo got into my car just fine, but would give little bark noises asking for reassurance. After about an hour together, he seemed much more relaxed and any time I crouched down to his level or sat by him, he'd press his body against mine asking for scratches and attention. He wasn't a huge kiss-giver, but would occasionally give little kisses. Marlo was more about the cuddles though. %BD%BD%90%BE Even though it was chilly, Marlo had a blast running up and down the beach and at the parks we visited. He doesn't have a particularly thick coat, so our romps were punctuated with sitting in the running car to warm up before going back out to play. %BD%BD%90%BE Marlo can be a little strong on leash when he's trying to get to something he wants to smell, but even in the small time we had him out, he was a quick learner and proved he's a very smart boy who, with consistency, can be taught. He sits on command and we only had one instance where he grabbed the leash and started to pull. However with some treats and commands he was easily redirected. %BD%BD%90%BE He had no accidents in the car and was very good for the most part. He'd reach an occasional paw up between the seats when he wanted a quick scratch or two. Marlo would relax and lay down in the car, but being a young boy with some energy, he preferred to sit up and watch where we were going to next. Between his lovely tiger stripes, adorable face, and sweet personality that also exhibits his want to learn and explore, Marlo is a great young dog who just needs a home with someone who wants to help him learn'
