About Haruto

Urgent!!! 'Haruto means 'light, sunlight, soar, fly' in Japanese and this guy is sure to brighten up any room. He is stunning, inside and out. Haruto has a cream-colored coat adorned with caramel colored freckles. It is very-unique. But what's even better about Haruto is his temperament. He is a sweetheart, although quite head shy. It appears Haruto wasn't allowed to be fully affectionate or playful, to show his true colors nor apparently fed enough (poor guy is a good 10+ pounds underweight). He is rescue-only for now just due to how head-shy he is. I spent some time with Haruto before we filmed our video and I believe he realized I am a new friend. It was a nice change from our initial moment of him going potty when I first leaned down to pet him..poor guy. If you watch the video you can see he often, even in his excitement, cowers and gets low to the ground. He appears young and eagerly-friendly to meet other dog friends (he would often leave me to run and say hello, as they passed by us in the run). Even when he is shy, he has no qualms with handling. I love this happy guy and I believe with the right family, Haruto will soar, just as he's meant to. Approximate weight at intake: 45 pounds.' Written by volunteer.
