About Quinn

Well, Hi there everyone! My name is Quinn. I am a young male setter/lab mix. My foster mommy decided to get me up for adoption so people could possibly come meet me prior to my neuter date next week. I am 6-7 months old. I have a TON of crazy energy so I will need a SUPER active family. I certainly will need to go through basic obedience. I do know how to sit and Im slowly learning to lay down. I will stay as well but not for a very long time. Im not treat motivated, however I am VERY toy motivated so training is pretty easy with me because I want that toy SO BAD that I will learn to get that toy! I do ok with other dogs but I can be pretty scary at times to them because I am SO super high energy. I also have those crazy hormones raging through me so I tend to mount the females Im paired with here. They don't like that. But I do! Foster mom said Im a bad boy when I do that to them. There is a little pit I do that to and I scare her half to death. I really can me a tad overzealous with things. I CAN be a chewer so I need to redirected a lot when Im out and about in the home. I do get bored easily. But most of the time I run around like a crazy man with a toy in my mouth. If I have a toy in my mouth my world is GREAT! Foster mom has been working with me on the whole NOT jumping on people. That's going pretty slowly but Im certainly better then I was when I arrived here! I DO pull on the leash, I can be pretty strong when I want to be. Leash manners are a MUST!! I do mark at times especially places where there has been other dogs. This will go away in time with training and with my hormones going away after Im neutered. But Ive already again started to get MUCH better with that. It happens very rarely here now. But foster mom said I had to point that out because going into a new home it may start up again. Im untested thus far with cats. My foster mommy said she was told that I was temporarily living with kitties. They were scared of me because I chased them. I never hurt them, but I did chase them. But if anyone that may be interested in me and if they have cats she can test me herself to see how I do.
