About Buddy

Meet Buddy. This adorable 1 year old red merle male with blue eyes is looking for a home to call his own. Buddy would like an active home with someone who would like to jog with him, hike with him or just toss a ball or frisbee around the yard. He is currently running 1 - 2 miles a day and probably plays another 3 hours with his foster brother. He would also love to possibly try some doggy sports. Yes, Buddy is an athlete who is quick and light on his feet. We are looking for a home that will continue his training both at home and with some formal classes. He is young and needs that training to develop into the best dog that he can be. Buddy LOVES other dogs, but may be too much for dogs who do not like to play ALL the time or are smaller than him. He has not been tested with cats, we feel he would probably be a pest with them since he just wants to play all the time. We are looking for a home that has plans on an obedience class to brush up on his skills and work on his fundamentals. Buddy would also like a home with an owner who makes time for daily work and exercise. This boy is NOT a couch potato. Buddy is perfectly house trained, is crate trained, but will fuss when left alone for a brief period. Buddy is also a powerful chewer, so no plush toys or soft bedding for this boy. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard. Homes with children 8 - 10 or older will be considered.
