About Rex

Meet handsome Rex! He is a 13 year old, 14 pound black and tan Min Pin. Rex came to us from a New Orleans shelter where he had been taken after being found as a stray. Rex is very sweet and loves to cuddle. He is definitely a lap dog! He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but doesn't really pay much attention to them. He is a chill senior and is pretty content just observing the action from a lap or comfy bed. He is very fond of big, soft dog beds! At night he will sleep with his foster family in the big bed, but he will also sleep the night away in a dog bed. Rex is leash trained, has learned to use a dog door, and is working on his housebreaking. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. He is heartworm positive and has started his treatment--which consists of 30 days of Doxycycline, given twice a day, followed by 12 months of Ivermectin. He will be retested at that time. The rescue supplies the medicine and pays for the tests until he tests negative. Rex is such a good boy who really deserves a loving home.
