About Amy

Meet our beautiful blue-eyed pup, Amy! Amy is a miniature Australian Shepherd who was surrendered by a breeder due to having bad knees. She is under 2 years old and weighs about 18 lbs. She takes a bit to warm up to new people, but once she knows you she can't get enough petting and loves to give little kisses. She gets along with other dogs for the most part, but does not like other dogs in her face so she would do best with respectful, calm dogs that give her her space. Amy does have bad knees and will need a home without a lot of stairs. She currently walks and gets around fine, but in the future if that changes surgery may be needed. Her ideal weight is probably closer to 15 lbs, so she is currently on a restricted diet to help her lose a couple pounds. It will be critical that her new family keeps her at her ideal weight to minimize the strain on her knees. Amy has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for heartworm, tick diseases, and fecal parasites. Amy's adoption donation of $300 helps cover the cost of her medical care.
