About Hope

Hope's owner became ill and unable to care for herself or Hope. She had to move in with family who refused to allow Hope to live there and be an inside dog. I drove to Texas from Tennessee to take her in after reading her plight on a facebook page. She is the sweetest lap dog I have ever seen. She loves attention from everyone adults and kids. She is an extreme lap dog and I'm serious when I say she will lay on you or next to you until you move or you move her lol she's sweet tempered towards my other dogs and my family. However.. she was never exposed to cats before. And I have 4. She was timid and shy the first month here and after she warmed up she began chasing and tormenting my cats. I never get to see them as they're always hiding. She antagonizes them constantly and she needs to be in a home without cats. I have had her about 2 months and my poor cats are traumatized. I hope to find her a really great home. Maybe someone who works from home or elderly who would love a constant companion but without cats in the home. She has yet to bite one but I worry it's because she can't catch them. Also she turned 5 in october. NOTE: (Hope's previous owner was NOT honest about her being fully potty trained. She will go on potty pads if they are on hard floor and only 50 percent of the time if they are on carpet she will also choose the carpet! She needs the extra time for full on potty training or the ability to go outside. I am out of the house 16 hours a day 5 days a week and am not able to fully keep up on her with this. I want to be honest as I wish her owner had been honest with me.)
