About Dooley

Urgent! Shelter is full! 'You may have seen Dooley's disturbing story circulating on the official CACC page. CPD contacted CACC to help get two dogs out of an abandoned house. They found Dooley, a Chihuahua (who already has rescue pending) and upon further investigation empty reptile cages plus a fish take with a 3-inch layer of ice. The ice alone give us a picture of how cold it was in that abandoned house during our frigid November temps already this year that these two dogs had to endure. Dooley's eyes are the most blood-shot I've ever seen. I imagine it is due to stress of being abandoned and feeling at risk of starving and/or freezing to death. His little body is very underweight. He was pretty scared to leash our first time but already improved at our second outing. When we got outside into the medical run and I knelt down to meet him, my heart-melted. He was so scared at overhead movements that he put his paw out to me a few times. Gosh poor baby. He also gave me his belly multiple times and kept trying to kiss me with endless tail wags. Gosh I love this guy instantly! Dooley knows sit and catches treats. He seems pretty young and is all wiggly butt. We feel so blessed to be able to shower him with love and know that his best new life is sure to come soon. Please come save him. Dooley's house-mate, the Chihuahua A210509 already has rescue, let's not forget about this wonderful pibble too who helped 'protect' him!' Please consider saving this sweet boy's life before it is too late.
