About Felix

Adoption Fee: $50
German Shepherd / Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

My beautiful Felix arrived in my yard after a huge storm. He jumped our fence into our yard and was playing with our pack. His owners were found, but he escaped and ran back to our house. They abandoned him (which quite frankly, was fine with us). He has been with us for about two years. He was six months old when he arrived. He is current on all shots and heart worm meds as well as licensed. No health issues. He is very loyal and attentive. He is fairly well trained as obedient. He learns fast and likes mental stimulation. He loves walks and car rides and adventures. He loves to play with toys. He loves belly rubs and snuggles first thing in the morning. He can be the sweetest of gentlemen, but becomes very insecure when I have to give attention to the other dogs in the pack and this has led to some behavior problems with all three of them. Felix has developed resource guarding. I have used all my training to develop new behaviors for all three, but I have failed him. The trainers I have reached out with have been unsuccessful in training the whole pack. We simply can not afford to send him to a boarding school. He violently refused to be crate trained. My heart breaks to have to write this. He is loved and adored. Because I love him so much, I believe this dear one has needs that I can not provide. Felix needs a one dog home, a big fenced yard, a flexible indoor/outdoor living situation, and a 'job.' He needs a loving, conscientious, devoted adult who has experience with GSD breeds and who wants and needs the perfect dog for lots of exercise and activity. Positive reinforcement training education is required. If you are looking for a best friend for life, a truly good dog to make your days joyful and fun, please contact me. I am vetting applicants. All health records will be provided.
