A volunteer writes: 'An olive may be just a garnish to a martini, but any true martini fan will tell you, the olives are the very best part! Similarly our Olive will be much more than just a garnish to your life. This gentle soul will give you her whole heart. Give her a little time to open up and Olive-time will be just what you savor each and every day. At about 3 years-old, sweet Olive is a tiny bit bashful with new friends but don't let her shyness fool you! This little Olive has lots of love to give. Olive is waiting for you in adoptions at Manhattan ACC.' Volunteer Misha Barbour writes: 'Olive #83470. 3 year-old Olive is the wiggliest wiggle worm with little girl socks and a big girl heart. Olive was found running alone in a park by a Good Samaritan, with what appeared to be an injured hind leg, what the shelter feels is soft tissue trauma. On her arrival, little Olive also exhibited vomiting and related dehydration but after receiving fluids (the shaved patch above her paw in the third photo) and plenty of rest, she's now feeling much closer to her silly self. Olive is about 43 pounds, a nice walker, affectionate, curious and bright. Her favorite activities include climbing on laps or snuffling through cold pockets for treats, ideally both. The shelter is actively seeking placement for Olive so she might find a soft, quiet place to rest her head and heal her leg. Because of her injury Olive has not participated in playgroup but was loose and wiggly towards another dog through the fence. Ready to say olive you to Olive? Contact the shelter today.
