Hi. I don't know if this is an appropriate place to post, but... I have a rescue chow I adopted back in November. It is with a heavy heart I have to rehome him. He was adopted with a bite warning notice. I was informed he was turned in to animal control because he bit a small child, in a provoked incident. He needs to be in a loving, ADULT ONLY, home. He has been an amazing dog, other than the fact he does not like children, of any age, small or older. From what I can gather he was probably abused/tormented at his previous home by kids. I thought we found a solution to the rehoming problem, as my parents agreed to take him for me. He has been a great dog while in their care, but their Saint Bernard is too territorial and will not warm up to him. I am afraid my mother is going to get hurt, just from the size of her dog and his contempt for having another dog in the house. They have to remain physically separated at all times and my parents cannot accommodate this. I am looking for someone who can provide him the loving home he deserves. He is a good dog, who can't seem to catch a break. He has no aggression towards adults or other dogs. I don't know how he is with cats because he does want to chase them, but he hasn't been in close enough proximity to reach one. He's beyond friendly, loves butt scratches and balls, and is trained. He is house broken, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Right now he is currently outside of Dayton Ohio, but I would be willing to help with the transportation process, if he is able to go to a good home. If there are any dogs in the home it would be best for a meet and greet, so he doesn't end up in the same predicament again. If interested please contact me or respond to this post. Thank you.
