About Clark

Meet Clark! If you are looking for THE happiest dog ever then Clark is your man! This Pomeranian mix (we are guessing with Chihuahua) is a 6 month old boy who has gorgeous golden red fur that is as soft as can be! He almost never stops smiling and wagging his tail! Loves all dogs and although shy for seconds when meeting new people that all passes away when his natural desire to give kisses and wiggle his butt resumes! He weighs about 7.5 pounds and we don't expect him to get much bigger than 10 pounds. He came into rescue with a friend (Monty) who is available for adoption separately because their Mom's cancer came out of remission and she and her son felt that two young pups were just too much so she let Clark and Monty go. In foster care this boy is with large dogs, small dogs and cats and just is friendly with them all! He really likes the big dogs and will run up to them to give kisses. He doesn't chase or bother the cats. He's a total snuggle bunny and loves to be with his human.He gets along great with Monty but we do feel they are fine to be separated as they do also operate independently of one another in rescue. Her adoption fee includes: 1. Current vaccinations 2. Neuter 3. Rabies 5. Microchip 6. Collar and leash 7. Starter food An adoption fee does apply. As we prescreen via email ONLY (we do NOT make or receive phone calls in the pre-screening phase) please tell us a bit about you such as: 1. Your lifestyle, activity level and work schedule. 2. Area you live in and if it is a house or apartment. 3. How many adults, children and pets in the household. 4. Where your pet stays when you are out or at work. 5. Where your pet will sleep. Some notes to consider before applying for Clark: 1.Clark is a 6 month old puppy and as such will require the time and commitment to become the best canine citizen he can be. Please make sure that everyone is on board and ready for the responsibility of a puppy. 2. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER. 3. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. We try to answer every email but it is not always possible. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
