This beautiful guy is Rusty, a 2 year old Mini Aussie who weighs between 15-20 pounds. Rusty is crate trained and pretty good in the house training department. He still has to be watched, but is working on it. Rusty is good with most people, including older kids. He does prefer a home where he is given time to warm up. He starts shy and then warms up. Rusty's adopter should be patient and willing to give him time. His adopter will be rewarded with a boy who is an absolute lover. Rusty is good with dogs his size. Larger dogs are fine, but can make him nervous. He usually just gives larger dogs their space. Cats? Maybe he will be friends. After all, he doesn't chase chickens. Rusty had a sequestered start to life, so he likes to take things slow. He hasn't quite become comfortable with car rides. He is slow to warm up to people. He is worth it, though! He has come such a long way in learn g how great life can be. Rusty would love a quiet household who is patient and ready to keep his learning going. Like with many Mini Aussies, he should be a house dog. He isn't suited to being left unattended in a yard, or he may decide to get out. If you are ready for a special guy and don't mind putting in just a bit of work, Rusty is a gem. Rusty is neutered, microchipped, and he is up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Apple Valley, CA. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
