About Presley

Hello my name is Presley and I am a 2 yr old male Bassett hound beagle dachshund mix per my paperwork. I was pulled from Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston TX on my last day to live because my time was up. I was on a 10 day quarantine due to a bite and nobody wanted me since I had bit someone. My rescue doesn't know the circumstance because I bit so I wish I could talk to tell you. I am fine as long as you don't go over my head to pet me. My rescue has talked with a behaviorist about me and they said something bad had happened to me in my past at the hands of someone and now I am guarded and react to hands because I'm afraid I will be hurt again. I am a small boy and only weigh 21 pds. I'm short to the ground and love to explore. I am dog and cat friendly but since I've had a bite on my record my rescue recommends that I'm not in a home with children right now until o learn to trust I won't be hurt again. I am waiting on my new family to choose me now while I wait in my foster home in TX. I am HW negative, UTD on shots, microchipped and neutered. As soon as I get an approved adopter or foster in NC, I will be transported there so will you please share me so I am one step closer to finding my forever family? I promise to be a good boy with your love and understanding and I hope you promise to not give up on me. That shelter place is really scary for a little one like me and I never want to go back.
