About Goldie

Adoption Fee: $300
Collie / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi, my name is Goldie! Nice to meet you! I am a collie-lab mix of approximately 1.5 years old. My weight is about 44 pounds and my height is 50 inches at the top of my shoulders. I came to the shelter along with my brothers and sisters at 6 months, and since then lived there. I'm playful and curious, brave and independent. I also trust people and eager to please - unfortunately, at the shelter, there is not much human interaction, which is very sad, as I LOVE attention and enjoy every second when someone pets me or plays with me. As a young doggie, I need adequate exercise and active playtime to keep me busy and also ensure my good behavior at home. My rescue asks that my future family would spend at least 60 active minutes per day with me, and I will be so grateful. For example, I love swimming and playing with water as well as playing catch with a ball outside. I am also learning to walk on a leash, and find it enjoyable, but still need some time to master that skill. Shelter volunteers say that I would make a perfect family dog, and I have a perfect temperament for people, I love everyone from little ones to adults and elderly, and eager to please humans. I am also very friendly with other dogs and cats and enjoy anyone's company. I hope that my family finds me soon, I can't wait to have someone important in my life to devote my love to! I really hope someone sees my story and my photo and will think, ' Yep, that my dog right here! We're taking her home!'. -- Please take a look at Goldie, a beautiful young doggie with an unfortunate fate. Despite living all her life in an overcrowded shelter, her lively, curious and friendly spirit wasn't broken. She is an absolute gem when it comes to personality - smart, active, eager to please and always up to play. She looks up to every human interaction and would be a perfect family dog. She is likely a collie-lab mix, so it's essential to provide her with an active lifestyle (60 minutes of walks/runs/active play daily) as well as do obedience and agility training to stimulate her mentally. Goldie is healthy, spayed, and microchipped, up to date with all shots. She will need house training - unfortunately, since she lived in a shelter, there was no opportunity to train her. Still, we firmly believe that with positive and motivational training, a smart girl like Goldie will learn pretty fast. Goldie is friendly and open to all humans, dogs and cats and will become a great companion and play buddy. We hope to find he an active family who will appreciate her curiosity and will for exploration and would love her bubbly personality. Goldie is not crate trained and has no experience riding in a car. She currently is on a dry and wet dog food diet with occasional treats.
