About Hoss

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. *Hoss is a Crockett K-9! His bio has been specially prepared by Crockett Elementary students after their interactions with him through the Crockett's K9s program. If you didn't have a big cuddle bear on Valentine's Day, now you've found one that will be with you every day! I am a cheap date who doesn't need roses and chocolates, just belly rubs. I pre fer to be with people and get sad if I'm left alone so the best furever home I'd have some kind of company for most of the day. Even if it's another dog (big or small) I can cuddle with while in my kennel. Although I am so well-behaved in the house, my foster family says since I'm still so young when they aren't home or at night I stay/sleep quietly in my kennel with my foster pals. Since I'm a Crockett K9, you know I am great with kids (they give the BEST cuddles and belly rubs)! I do like to play but even though I'm a puppy I am not super energetic. Walks with you would be nice but I probably won't be the best running buddy. I am an eager learner and with great house manners. I already know sit, to stay on my mat during meals, and to sit patiently at the door to come inside after going out to go potty. Oh did I forget to mention I'm already potty trained! What more could you want for a year-round Valentine than an adorable cuddle buddy? If you're a laidback person, I might be the puppy for you! Will you be mine? Hoss is a Male Lab mix that we estimate to be born around 10/12/2019 and currently weighs about 31 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
