Meet Arlo Hi, my name is Arlo! I am a big boy who is about 1 1/2 yrs old and weighs 75lbs. I came in with another dog, and have enjoyed meeting some of the other dogs here, too, but not all of them. I am a lovebug who loves to give you my hand to make sure you don't stop petting me. I am not very polite on a leash right now--I treat every walk like the Iditarod--but I am getting better with the assistance of gentle leaders and other such apparatuses. I need an adult only home with experienced dog companions, as I can be protective of my stuff. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if a dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass, across from the Grants Pass Airport. You are encouraged to call the shelter at 541 474-5458. When calling please press option 0. Hours open to the public 10 am - 4 pm every day except Sunday and posted holidays. Up to date on shots, spayed or neutered and micro chipped.
