About Foxy

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

This lovely blue girl is Foxy, a 4 years old, 50 pounds Australian Cattledog girl. She was saved from being a stray and is now looking for a fun and active home (see video of her running and fetching). Foxy has learned a lot in the home with her Good Samaritan. She knows sit, down, heel (sort of), go to your crate, Fox in your box (means go to your crate), leave it, drop it (the ball), and let's go (meaning stop sniffling and continue walking). Foxy also loves to learn tricks. She knows Find your ball! Where's your toy! Foxy is house and crate trained. Foxy is good with men and women. She has also been good with the Good Samaritan's two grandkids, ages 6 and 4. She is better for older kids just because she is active enough to accidentally knock down a smaller kid. Foxy is fine with other dogs, when things are relaxed. When there is a lot of energy during playtime, her herding instincts take over and other dogs don't like it. She should be fine as an only dog or with an older dog who isn't into all that fun! Foxy loves to have a good time. She absolutely adores playing fetch. She can't get enough. She is also great for adventures since she is good in the car and good on leash. She loves to jog alongside as her human jogs or rides bikes. She would benefit from additional leash training since she can get excited when she is on leash and sees another dog out walking. Foxy is an active girl. A few one mile walks a day won't do it for her. She is looking for an active home who can wear her out. In exchange, she is an enthusiastic activity partner. She would love hiking, jogging, biking, and camping. She will follow her person around waiting for the next thing to do. Dog parks are not her thing. She wants more than that. Foxy is spayed, microchipped, and he is up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Sylmar, CA. We do not ship our dogs. She is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
