About Shuri

Her name is Shuri and she's about a year and four months old. She's a Catahoula leopard dog mix (they said she's mixed with pointer) and she weighs about 50 pounds. We adopted her six weeks ago from the Broward county shelter. We have worked hard to get her healthy and are happy to report that she's in perfect health! She's been spayed and is current on all shots. She's also on heart worm and flea and tick prevention. Unfortunately, we have had several unforeseeable circumstances that have led to us not being able to keep her as our forever companion. I am very allergic to her, despite living with dogs my whole life, and these symptoms are only getting worse. In addition, her temperament is high energy and she requires a home with experienced owners who have the time to keep her very active and provide the training she needs. She is extremely loving towards all people, but has shown aggression towards our cat. She loves playing with other dogs and loves the dog park! She is crate trained and right now is spending about 9 hours a day crated while we are at work (one of the many reasons we think she would do better in another home). We take her out to the field behind our house for about an hour every day to play fetch and she absolutely loves running after her ball! If you have any questions about her, please ask!! We are hoping to find her a home and avoid bringing her back to the shelter. She's such a loving dog, she just needs the right owners.
