About Mickey

Hi, my name is Mickey and this is my story! I'm a handsome 2-year old, 50-pound pit bull located in Framingham, MA. I had a family, but they landed on hard times and weren't able to keep me. So here I am waiting for a new special someone to call my own. I'm a super sweet and healthy boy, but I have an embarrassing problem. I'm a 'fraidy cat.' I know I'm a strong pit bull, but I'm still scared of things. Should you want to meet me, don't take it personally if I bark. Rest assured, I am a good boy! I LOVE people - just let me be the first to approach, get a good sniff, and then I'll be your friend. I love to play, wiggle my butt, and share cuddles. I am a really great lap dog, too, at least that's what the foster lady says when I hop in her lap. Plus, I am smart! It took me about a minute to learn to sleep in a crate. I like treats (who doesn't!) so I am always ready to learn new things. Could we be a match? I need an adult-only home without kids or cats. I get along with the other dogs here, but when meeting potential siblings, let's do proper dog-to-dog introductions. It would be nice to have a compatible playful dog who can help me build confidence. As a young dog, I'd love a fenced yard to run and play freely. I sure hope there's someone out there with lots of patience and love to continue the work I've been doing since going into foster. I know I'll get through it with an experienced person.
