Harry is a very sweet young adult male. He has been raised outside as a working Livestock Guardian and although he is very gentle and affectionate with our goats, his 'guardian' instincts are not really strong. He will alert us danger by barking but that's about as far as he'll take it. Harry is not a scrapper. Remember the children's story of 'Ferdinand the Bull'? That's Harry! All of that would be OK, except that I have not been able to socialize him to poultry, and we continue to lose chickens if they venture into the goat paddock. Not good. Harry is extremely affectionate and responsive to me, my sister, and my adult son, but is initially shy toward strangers. He is not aggressive, and has never snapped at any human... he simply backs away and says 'I'm not sure about you.' Harry might be better with a woman, though he probably would warm up to a man if given time to make the adjustment. Harry is micro-chipped and current on rabies vaccination.
