PREFERS A HOME WITHOUT Other dogs, cats, children, other animals. No other pets recommended. Meet Xander Xander is a very sweet, submissive, and intelligent boy. He is very curious about everything, things he should have learned as a puppy. He's very inexperienced at being a dog and uncertain of his world. He has trust issues can be suspicious of new situations or those he doesn't know. Once he realizes that nothing will happen to him, he comes back with his curiosity. He's not recommended for children, as there hasn't been any exposure to them. His has a high prey drive (squirrels and birds) as well as fearfulness due to lack of socialization in his first 3 �%BD years. He can't gauge whether a situation is a good one or not. A couple would be ideal for him. It's very important to let him know the pack order as soon as possible. If a couple adopt him, both need to be equally involved in his training, for bonding and trust building. Xander loves his toys but will guard them initially. As he gets comfortable with people, he wants you to engage in play with him. He's very smart and learns quickly - he was in a foster home for two months before being adopted by his current home, and this was said by both his foster and his current owners. Xander needs a home with breed experience, and with training experience with dogs who are fearful and tend toward fear aggression.
