About Dawn

Dawn is an impossibly sweet dog with some special needs. She was rescued by my friend, and I agreed to care for her. At the time I lived in a house with friends, but now I live alone in an apartment, so caring for an animal with severe separation anxiety has become a bit more than I can handle at this time. Dawn is not aggressive by any means. She is, however defensive against foreign objects and some people--particularly tall men. She may growl at these things, but she is far more likely to run away than she is to attack. She has a tendency to urinate uncontrollably when she is excited or scared. She also becomes anxious when left alone for too long, especially when confined. Dawn is a bit of an escape artist, and has run away in the past, but she always found her way home.
