About Isla

Bulldog / Boxer
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

I'm Isla, a beautiful female, spayed, 7 year old Johnson Bulldog/Boxer mix and I weigh about 60 pounds. My family rescued me from the Maricopa County shelter in November 2019 and I thought I found my new home for life but since then we realized my new brother and I don't really get along. My family is very sad but I told them I understand and I am ok finding a new family to love me. I think I can be around other dogs just not my brother. I am house-broken, crate-trained and I am a good directions follower. I know my 'sit, stay, come, down, shake, and leave it' commands and I am good on leash walks. I play nice with kids and adults but I really enjoy just showing my love by putting my head in your lap. I like to run around in my backyard and antlers, rope, and tennis balls (they don't last too long!) are my favorite toys. I'm a healthy eater, eating 1.5 cups of Simply Nourish dry kibbles twice a day. All of my immunizations are up to date, my bloodwork is normal, I'm chipped, and I've been tested negative for valley fever. The doctor told me I have grumpy hips (they call it arthritis) but you really can't tell. To make my hips feel better my parents give me all natural fish oil and one Dasuquin chewable tablet each day. On cold wet days I may also take one Carprofen (Rimadyl) 50 mg chewable tablet. My family is eager for me to find my new home and they will help in any way they can to make my transition to your home as easy as possible. Please contact my parents if you are ready to love me as much as I am ready to love you.
