About Rosemary (east)

Hi, my name is Rosemary ID# A4343931 I am a two year old, white and chocolate, female spayed American Staffordshire Terrier. I have been at the shelter since November 18, 2019. Here are some notes from volunteers who have spent time with Rosemary: 12/3/2019 WALK per vol Pauline - excited in kennel; moderate pull/return; loose leash walker; took treats, allowed petting, playful; great on leash, very friendly and affectionate; sweet girl; will sit for treats. 12/7/2019 DAY FOSTER foster report: I took Rosemary to the Wag & Walk today.. She travels very well in the car, just laid down in the back seat..(I did have a safety harness on her. )She is very happy, friendly & wiggly with everyone she meets , walks well on the leash .. she does pull a little when she can see a dog ahead of her...She doesn't like dogs getting too close to her and will bark & growl a little. We stopped for a McDonalds cheeseburger on the way back and she took it gently - and happily.. 12/16/2019 WALK per vol Meg - calm and friendly in kennel; easy pull/return; loose leash walker; took treats from handler; cooperative and perky with handler, but not hyper; walked at handlers pace on leash; sat for treats, tail wagged throughout walk; a friendly joy. Rosemary was adopted for only one day, and the adopters loved her and said she was good in the house, but could not get along with their dog, so she was returned. Events such as this can put a dog on the path to being euthanized, and really isn't fair to the dog. But there is only so much space at the shelter, and when any dog has been here for more than 30-60 days, they become 'at-risk' for euthanasia. Please consider sweet Rosemary for your next furry family member. She has very little time left.
