This girl loves to run! Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Adoption Fee:$200 Date into Rescue: 11/2019 Reason for being in rescue: stray, found in Ingles parking lot by employee Special Needs: none What kind of home would be best for me: I would love a home with children that will respect me/ playful dogs, and patient owners that are willing to give me time to adjust and trust my new family. Please note that children must be over the age of 5. What is my personality like: Foster mama may be biased, but she thinks I am the best pupper! When she found me, she found me in a grocery store parking lot with several bowls of food laid out in front of me. I smelled/ clean, like I had just had a bath! I greeted her a little scared, when she threw the leash around me I panicked, but she remained patient. She brought me home and is teaching me all about life. I had been in that parking lot for at least a week, until I finally got my new start. I have already came such a long way, foster mom even heard my first bark a week ago! I now know that leashes aren't bad things, and that they are to help me walk beside my family. I am learning how to sit, and I love love love to fetch! I don't always bring it back though. When first meeting new dogs I get overwhelmed, I will let them know when I feel like my space is being invaded. If other doggies will just give me space to come around, I will be running around playing tag with them in due time (tag and zoomies are my favorite)! When I meet other families the first thing I do is go to the kids. I love kids, especially the ones that are nice to me! It is way easier for me to open up to them than grown ups.. but with time I will be snuggling up to the grown ups on the couch and watching movies. I know I'm not a tiny pocket pooch with fluffy hair but I am just as cute! (Even cuter if you ask me) and I have all of the love to give to a very special family. Please note, I do get along with foster mama's cats, I even try to play with them.. but not all cats are okay with that. If they run I can't help but chase them, I won't hurt them though! I am also terrified of the big machine on wheels that sucks up all of the dust bunnies. I will immediately go into another bedroom and wait until it goes back to the monster lair. I do not do well with baths (I try to escape out of the bathtub), I obviously have not had a lot of experience with them.. I just need to get used to it! How do I act when I first meet new people: I am shy at first, but just be patient, give me a few treats and I will be eating out of the palm of your hand! Tips and Tidbits: Estimated birthdate 11/18/2018. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
