Hi, we are looking to rehome 1 of our 3 dogs, our sweet Jace. We met with our vet last week and he recommended we go this route. Jace is a very sweet 3-year-old hound mix (Black and Tan / Plott). He needs more attention than we are able to give him with a toddler and 2 other dogs. He needs to live somewhere with more structure and supervised activity. Ideally an active single person or a young couple with no other pets or kiddos so he can be the focus since he has some mild medical issues (GI sensitivity and doggy IBS aggravated by stress). He is good with other dogs (not so much with kitties though!) and while he needs attention he doesn't need much exercise. He likes to play tug and chase a ball when not rolling in the grass. He has been boarded and frequents dog parks. He does well in a car and enjoys going places. He is crate trained, some basic obedience, and does so-so on a leash. His allergies limit his food, we found an economical brand at Wal-Mart and he eats some hypo-allergenic treats. He is up to date on shots and was neutered at 5 weeks at the shelter (Loudon County). One side effect of being neutered so early is that he is kind of a forever puppy so he excels at snuggling and sleeping. He doesn't use a crate often, but when he doesn't feel good he goes in it to nap. Toys, leash, crate, bowl, and bed included in rehoming. PM me if interested. We always thought we would never find ourselves in this situation, but keeping him when a better home might be out there seemed selfing and his vet agreed with us that this is the best thing for him and that is what matters most. Located in Knoxville, TN and willing to do some driving for the right match.
