About Hope

Hope is the most beautiful dog ever!! She's been with us almost a month. She's had some health issues that needed attention. Hope entered DACC with a bouncy 'uncanny gate' and bloody urine. It was suspected that she may have been hit by car. The following week she finished her medication with no change in symptoms. A vet appointment was made to xray her hips/knees since she walks oddly. Xrays showed no sign of previous injury, no hip displaysia, no knee issues. But, it was determined that her femur bones in both legs are curved like a banana. This is a birth defect and she's not in pain from it. But, it likely causes her 'uncanny gait'. She also had a serious UTI. Since the vet appointment we noticed that her tail was always curled underneath her body even when she was happy. She was unable to move it or wag. She would even pee and poop on her tail. It's been 3 weeks and her tail has greatly improved. She can lift it and wag it. Hope recently had a wellness check. She's gained 9lbs and urinalysis was clean! Vet determined she's ready for adoption. Hope is an amazing dog. She's young, housebroken and sweet. She's good with other dogs and even does well with dog savvy cats.
