About Kenji

Kenji is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met in my life. He gives lots of hugs and kisses, and ultimately just wants love and attention. He is very much a lap dog that just wants to be in someone's arms, or cuddled up under a blanket. He is very mannered with other dogs, however he is usually not interested in romping around or playing, unless it's with a human. He loves stuffed toys (mainly de-stuffing them), and he enjoys playing tug-o-war. He is a very vocal player. Meaning, when he is excited and playing with his toys, he will make lots of sounds similar to growls. It can sound very intimidating if you aren't used to it, but I assure you �'��he is just playing. �'�� �'��I like to take lots of breaks during playtime to make sure he doesn't get too riled up, and I make sure that no one touches him from behind/on his butt area during playtime, because this has caught him off guard and scared him in the past. He is used to sleeping in my bed with me, underneath the covers. I can tell that he wasn't allowed on furniture in his past home, because it took a little while to get him used to being allowed on the couch and bed. He is allowed on all of the furniture in my house. He can tend to get a little jealous if he isn't getting enough attention, and will put himself front and center because he wants to be included. Kenji is very trainable and smart. He usually does fairly well on a leash, but will sometimes pull if he has been left alone for too long. He knows sit, down, wait, shake, and roll-over. We use the key words 'sit', 'wait', and 'release' before every meal.
