Frau was adopted in 2013 as a kitten and hasn't transitioned as well with kids. She stays away from them, but my toddler does seem to stress her out. I can't imagine what another one will do. She does still have her claws. Once she bonds with you, she needs to be the one and only baby. She's definitely a lap cat. Other pets would probably stress her out (at least for some time) but she might be able to do okay with another cat- especially the other one we are trying to rehome. They eat blue buffalo indoor formula for one meal (it seems to really help reduce Frau's hair balls and cognitive function) and 9lives wet food for the second meal (it helps Crispin not have UTIs). I use arm &hammer clumping litter for them.
