About Duffy

Please meet our new rescued soul Buffy! Buffy is a young, cheerful, great personality dog. Most likely Shepherd mix. He will be 2 years old in February. Approximate weight is 50 lbs, height is around 23 inches. Fully vaccinated, neutered, checked for heart worms ( negative). Buffy had never lived at home, he didn't have his own cozy corner with a soft bed and tasty food, he didn't have his own man ... but only a small uncomfortable enclosure in a shelter where it is cold and damp in the winter and hot in the summer and nobody lets you out run and wallow on the grass. Buffy had to survive in the shelter for 1.5 years, until disaster struck him - his hind legs became ill. The diagnosis was bilateral hip dysplasia! He was operated on October 1, 2019. The surgery and rehabilitation were successful! Buffy feels great now and is fully recovered. He does not limp on the foot and runs and jumps. Now he lives in a foster home near Philadelphia PA, knows how to walk on a leash and do the business outside. Buffy has a wonderful personality, he is very friendly and moderately inquisitive. He loves active walks and water treatments. He likes to play in company with other dogs, he gets along well with all of them and does not show aggression, indifferent to cats. Buffy communicates with a person with great joy, loves attention and affection, intelligent and very capable for a training dog. He listens to every word and will definitely succeed in training class to be a service dog in the future When meeting new people he is a little timid at first but as soon as Buffy has a permanent home and a good, kind owner, he will open his heart and prove himself to be the most devoted and true friend.
