About Daisy

Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Daisy is a gorgeous and affectionate 2-year old, 60-pound Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix (aka 'Golden Pyrenees') who surely turns heads wherever she goes. Daisy is a tripod- she had her right rear leg amputated due to an old injury - but it doesn't hold her back. Her current foster family says this three-legged cutie gets around just fine. She might need a little help and practice going up stairs (she didn't live inside until recently), but she enjoys a regular dog life. She loves going for rides in the car, adores people, and gets along well with dogs and cats. Daisy came from North Carolina where she was raised on a family's farm, living mainly outside and in the garage. (Her mom was a Golden and her dad was a Pyrenees). She is a happy girl, and is easygoing with other animals-she even shared her food with the barn cats. Since Daisy's been with her foster family she has quickly adapted to the weather and likes to romp around in the snow. As she gets more comfortable indoors, she is enjoying basking in the luxury of soft dog beds and any furniture she is allowed on. Like classic Goldens, she has quite a bit of puppy in her; she loves to play boisterously with other dogs, fetch for people and is eager to please. Daisy really enjoys running around and will need a home with a fenced in yard. Daisy also a great cuddle-bug; she likes to sit on the couch and rest her head on your lap to bask in snuggles. Daisy is a beautiful combination of her breeds. She has a regal stance, a silky-shiny coat and dark, almond-shaped eyes that are very expressive and alert. Soft and fluffy and happy to laze away the day after a walk, this golden girl takes notice of strangers, and may bark to let you know that someone is around, but will quickly become a best friend to that new person. Smart, patient, and devoted to family and friendly with other dogs and pets, this fluffy nugget wants to be a fun-loving family member. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here:(https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
