About Chibs (east)

Hi, my name is CHIBS - ID#A3932145. I am a neutered male, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Nov 18, 2019. Sad story about Chibs. After being in a home for over a year, Chibs was surrendered to the shelter by his owners after they had a baby and felt he had too much energy to live with them. Chibs also appears to have some allergies, and that may also have been part of the reason. He will need to see a family vet to determine proper course of treatment for that. Chibs came with his name painted on a piece of wood and he is very sad. His allergies possibly may just need a change of food and environment. He did well in doggy evaluation, but we always recommend a meet and greet at the shelter if you already have a dog. Chibs is a very friendly guy, and gets along good with other dogs and people as well. He walks great on a leash, and would make a wonderful walking or hiking buddy. He is very curious, loves treats, and will 'sit' for treats if you ask him. Please consider this sweet little man for your next furry family member. He is getting close to being put on the euthanasia list.
