About Sandy

Meet Sandy, 59 lbs & 4 1/2 years old. This story is truly sad, my husband for the last 2 years has been greeted by 2 dogs at the gas station & had befriended them. They would come running to him to get a dog treat & some affection. 10 days ago the owner of her & a male Basset moved out of the house & left them behind. We took food & water to them, in hope's that the owner would get moved & come back for them. We found out on Friday that the landlord called the dog pound to pick them up. They have a 5 day hold time, before they euthanize dogs. My husband & I drove on Saturday morning to get her & the basset out of the pound. She is now here at our rescue & will be having a full vet check, whatever she needs. We are looking for a special family that is willing to adopt this 4 year old & give her that forever family for a life time. She will sit & stay. Loves kids & treats. She is super smart.
