About Handosme 'Noir'

Noir has an amazing story which touched us!! We decided to take him in our Rescue and would like for him to have a good start in 2020. He is six years old and is an Australian Shepherd. He is absolutely gorgeous, loving and obedient. We were contacted by the person who took Noir in her home after saving him from his past. He was purchased from a breeder by a woman and after having him for 3 years gave him to a family who had already 2 other dogs, 2 kids and a man who Noir was afraid of. Poor Noir, he spent most of his time hiding. The family decided to get rid of him and he is now with a new family but unfortunately the lady is working long hours and is not devoting enough time to Noir, so we decided to help him and find his forever home. We will be very specific on what we are looking for and will only adopt Noir to someone who will be dedicated to make him happy. As you can see on the picture he is a beauty and is good with other dogs. A big teddy bear. Great at home. Noir is heartworm negative and received a full dental. Noir had one tooth which was removed and had an abscess. The cost (rescue price) was $434.36 which was split with the adopter. The total adoption fee will be $638 He did receive also a year of Heartworm prevention with Proheart (it is a shot once a year) no pills or topical to give him for a year This is what the foster rMom has to say about Noir: 'Great in the car. Stays put in the back seat.Prefers cool temperatures, indoor A/C under 80 degrees. Comfortable on the bed or on the cool floor day and night. Lays at the front door the whole time he's home alone with just the other dogs. Enjoys chewing on cloth toys & nylon chew bones. Not a picky eater & appreciates treats. Begs for human food. Eats 2 meals a day 2/3 cup each feeding of dry food (Zignature Lamb formula) and has good solid stools with that diet. Previous family gave him Purina brand dry food which caused him to suffer from diareah constantly. Very good about drinking water. Always goes outside to potty. Learned to use the dog door from the lanai into the fenced in yard in just a few days. He was untrusting at first of the mysterious flap. He soon became an expert. Majestic jumper onto furniture and into the car. Does not jump up on people. Likes to snuggle with people in bed or on the sofa. Very needy in this setting & will not respect a person's personal space. Has a loud alarm bark when he sees strange people outside the fence. Also sounds the alarm if mom is home alone and dad comes home. Coat feels great. Eyes are clear. Hears perfectly fine. Alert and happy disposition, but unsure of himself, nervous. Responds well to love and affection from mom especially. Follows mom everywhere throughout the house and outside in the yard. Does very well going with everyone to grandparents house to visit. Very social in big family situations.
