About Emily

Poor sweet Emily was kept chained outside on a property in Texas. When able to do so, some of our rescue partners were able to take ownership of her. Emily was very thin and heartworm positive. She was treated for heartworms and is now negative. Emily is up to weight and doing well. This girl will do best in a home with adults who are not gone long hours. She is good with other dogs and absolutely loves puppies! Emily knows some commands like sit and down and insists that you hold her paws once she trusts you. This girl will take time (as she did when she came to us) to open up and trust. However once she does, she will melt your heart.
