About Hershey

If you are interested in Hershey, your first step is an application of interest from www.animalsrule.org No out of state. Hershey is a 3-4 year old pure bred Doberman Pinscher. He is undeniably the best natured Doberman we have ever had come through our rescue. His personality is captivating. He is incredibly smart too!! This dog is an absolute GEM and we can't say enough good things about him. He was originally found as a stray, completely bald and only weighing 61lbs. (We want him to be at least 70lbs.) Hershey has seen the vet, is on high quality dog food, gets 2 medicated baths a week and his coat is slowly coming back in beautifully. We are hoping for at least a 50% regrowth. It is very common for Dobies of this color to blow their coat out. Hershey loves every person that he encounters. He can sit, lay down and shake on command and walks wonderful on leash. He is also housebroken. He loves to ride in the car and jumps right in. He will need a house with a yard, so no condo/apartment/rental living for this boy. He will be best placed with a medium sized female dog or larger and he is also fine by himself. No cats please, he is not cat safe. His pictures will be updated frequently as his appearance changes. If you are experienced with this breed all the better, we are looking for you. We will be particular in where we place this awesome boy. Hershey is playful, loving, endearing and oh how we wish his soulful eyes could tell us his story. Hershey LOVES to go for walks and spins around when he sees the leash. He has a docked tail and cropped ears that were never properly taped up. (Updated 12/28/19) Hershey can be seen by appointment only with an approved application.
