I need a foster home asap, He is a 7-8-year-old, 15lbs Maltipoo mix. He was helped by good people after it was suspected that he was dumped. The nice people looked for my family but nobody claimed him. They soon discovered that he didn't know how to walk on a leash. He was filthy, matted, and infested with fleas, ticks and his skin was full of hot spots. He used to growl at everybody, plopped down when they tried to pull me on a leash and growled. When he felt threatened he would growl. He didn't like the groomers very much or the broom. Baba was not able to relax and fall asleep standing up even if he slammed his face on the ground. Baba used to refuse to sleep in a comfy area and opted for the concrete floor or plastic bags. Now, Baba loves going on walks, loves a nice blanket, warm baths, and lots of belly rubs. He is a very smart boy who has learned how to sit in five minutes. He is food motivated so he can definitely learn more. He likes kids that are respectful, all dogs, and cats. Baba is partially blind but that doesn't stop him one bit. He needs help getting on and off the bed/couch but we are working on the stairs going to the bed/couch. He is a great listener, loves to cuddle and loves affection. He is a calm little guy that has come a long way from street life. He will be neutered, vaccinated, microchip and vetted, groomed and ready to go. Baba is looking for his forever home before the new year!! He is located in San Diego.
