About Prince

Hi all! My name is Prince. I'm a 10 year old Chihuahua mix and I want nothing more than to snuggle with you this Holiday season, and the rest of my forever. I just want to be near people and I really like being held and carried around. I need a hospice home! I lived in one place with one person for most of my life. I liked it there, but one day my owner decided I had to leave. From there I went to live at a Vet Hospital. I was really sweet there and after I REFUSED to eat anything else, they even caved and went to buy me my favorite food - Kibbles and Bits! A vet assistant at that hospital got to know me a little. She knows now I don't really like my front feet touched and that I am shy at first, but when I know I can trust you that all I want is to be near you! She knows now, too, that I'm good with other small dogs and I can live with cats just fine! Once she learned all that, she asked a Vet to help. The Vet was nice and donated an exam, 1 year of heartworm and belly worm prevention, 1 month of flea and tick prevention, all my vaccines for the year, bloodwork (which was all perfect!), and surgery to neuter me AND clean my teeth, freshen my breath, and remove a few rotten, painful teeth from my mouth. I'm like a new dog now and now I need a new home! I only have 2 quirks. One is that I have a heart murmur. It's pretty loud, the doctor said. But I don't have any symptoms and I really don't care - I just want a home that will love me for the time I've got left. The doc said it is a really good sign that I did so well with anesthesia. My other issue is that I spent a long time intact, so I do like to urine mark. Now that I'm neutered, hopefully we can break that habit. But for now, a little doggie diaper will fix it! So please - will you help me find a home? A place where I can keep someone company? I'm a small dog, the perfect size for laps. I won't ask for much!
