About Maya

Please, meet sweet girl Maya! Maya is a Schnauzer mix. She was found in Minsk (capital of Belarus) and was about to be placed in a high kill shelter. Volunteers were able to rescue her and transport to Moscow. Maya was very scared and anti-social at first, she didn't let anybody to come close to her. She was taken to a foster house of a professional dog behviorist in order to help her to socialize and get her house trained. Now Maya is active, curious and playful. She is very easy trainable and listens to the commands well. Maya is approximately 1 year old, spayed, fully vaccinated. She is a medium size dog - 46 lbs and 19' to the shoulders. Maya is cautious to strangers, but when you start petting her or give her treat, she immediately warms up. Maya is good with other dogs, but may be scared of the very active ones. She doesn't pay much attention to cats and may be scared of very little kids, she is good with older kids though. The ideal family for Maya would be active people without little kids, but with other animals.
