About Pig Pig

Pig Pig is a beautiful purebred beagle who showed up in our neighborhood recently with no tags or collar. We took him in because we cannot bear to see animals wandering the streets. He is really a good dog but he has a few issues. He was abused by someone in the past (we believe a man did it). One of his rear legs gives him problems and he runs with it normally tucked up off the ground. He does not like being touched on that area and will growl/snarl/snap at you if you do. He gets along with our other small dog very well. We also have two cats that he gets along with but he does like to chase one of them around the yard. He has no food aggressions or allergies that we have seen. He is not yet house trained. We are a small family with only one working parent so the care of a fourth animal is beyond our abilities at this time. We recommend adult households with no kids due to the snarling episodes because of his injury. He needs a good home that has the capability to properly care for him with veterinary care and proper training. We believe with that care, he would be an excellent companion and possibly a hunting dog.
