About Koda

Adoption Fee: $75
Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

I found Koda on Craigslist. He was being sold by his previous owner as she claimed she couldn't keep him anymore because he was supposed to be a farm dog but kept chasing the chickens. She never mentioned any aggressive behaviors but on the first day we picked him up I got a little too close to his face and he snapped at me. I know it was my fault of course and just let it slide. Than a few days later I gave him a bath as we found out he had fleas. After the bath he started to suddenly poop on the ground and out of reflex and shock I went towards him to stop him but he suddenly charged at me barking and trying to bite me. We brought him to our room to cool down and when my mother in law came to check on us she started petting him and he did a warning snap and she bent over to apologize and he snapped again barking. Afterwards my brother in law opened the door slightly and koda ran to the door barking and slamming it shut. I'm disabled and got koda to help with my anxiety while I'm by myself but this situation is just making it worse for me. I love koda, especially because he loves to cuddle with us a lot and is so gentle with taking treats but I have limited resources and money and did not know that he needed so much work. His previous owner hasn't responded to my text about taking him back so I don't think it's going to happen. I'm asking for $75 as it's the price I paid for him. He doesn't have any papers because his previous owner didn't provide any. I just want him to find a good home that can give him the attention and experience he needs.
