About Diesel

Location: Midland, MI ISO Adopter Name: Diesel Breed: Akita/ Labrador Retriever mix Age: 10 yrs old - No children under 12 years of age - Loves attention - Has a sweet tooth - Loves to be outside in warm weather -Loves to hang out with his person/ people - Will share your bed if allowed. - Snuggles on the couch - Must he in a fenced yard, on a tie out or a zip-line as he is a wanderer. - Loves women but requires time to warm up to men. Diesel came into foster in November of 2019. He wasn't neutered. He was spoiled and set in his ways. Since that time we have rocked his world. He prefers a quiet home and is adjusting to the ruckus that is often raised in a house with 2 playful pups just maturing into adults. Diesel has to be kept separated from the other dogs in the house as he has NO tolerance for them! Although Diesel has been around small children. He is not comfortable with them and only tolerated them. The loudness that comes with small children is a source of anxiety for Diesel. His previous veterinarian has said that Diesel has some changes in his vision due to age. During the day he seems to see quite well however at night his vision isn't as clear. Otherwise Diesel is healthy. There haven't been any signs of arthritis other then some stiffness after a long nap. Once he is up and has a good stretch he is ready to go. He is not fat, in fact his foster has brought his weight down a few pounds.
