About Danny

June Update: We have slowly started to see Danny and his brothers grow up in the shelter and slowly adjust to shelter life. Danny was eager to get out of his kennel on Saturday and was more social with volunteers than we've ever seen him. We know that he would progress much quicker if he was in a foster home. Poor Danny is growing up in the shelter which is not the best place for a scared pup to overcome his fears. Of his brothers, he is the more social one now. Danny is still nervous of his surroundings and on alert but did great with Peter. Danny and his brothers need out of the shelter where they can learn what it is like to be a cherished member of the family. Danny was a little more outgoing this weekend. He bonded very quickly to his handler and wanted to be next to her at all times. He enjoyed meeting other dogs and would wag his tail, but would back away because he got scared. He needs time and patience to build his confidence . Danny and his brothers were brought to the shelter from the place where they are being fostered. We weren't even sure how many dogs were in the truck because they were cowered on top of one another. Danny was frightened and we couldn't blame him. We gave him some love.
