JENNY was saved with her best friend FORREST-GUMP (3 year GSD) from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine JENNY is spayed core vaccines, rabies, heartworm and tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 17 May 2018 and at the time of rescue in December 2019 weighed around 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely. We are looking to adopt them as the BONDED PAIR that they are. JENNY & FORREST-GUMP will be arriving at the rescue on Thursday, 19th December and we will update when they have been here and settled so we can give a more accurate description of their personality and mannerisms. As time permits, we will take more pictures. You are welcome to complete and submit the adoption application if you are interested in giving them a forever home. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW SHE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK. JENNY & FORREST-GUMP are available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $900 for the pair. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
