About Mike

Beautiful Mike is about 2.5-3yrs old and weighs approx 72lbs. He is a very sweet, affectionate boy that loves leaning against his person for pets on the head and even if he just meets you, he may ask for a belly rub. He is generally easy going and loves to go on long walks, hiking trips and car rides. He is a typical shepherd though so if he feels his people are being threatened (by waving sticks, brooms, fast waving hands, etc) he will bark a warning for the stranger to keep their distance. Mike gets along fine with other polite dogs if he has a proper introduction, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He came from a home with numerous other female and small dogs and his favorite playmate was and currently is a large female black lab (we have her too!). Mike is fully house and crate trained so he can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of hours. Because he is sensitive to waving things, an adult only home or with kids over 16yrs old is best. He must have a 6ft securely fenced yard.
